What is Aviora Health?
We're a private healthcare clinic in Oxfordshire, offering same-day GP consultations and specialist dermatology care. Think mole checks, skin treatment, health screening, blood tests, prescriptions and referrals, all under one roof.
Do I need to be registered with an NHS GP to use your services?
No, you don't. You can book with us whether or not you're registered elsewhere. That said, we'll always work alongside your NHS GP where it helps your care, sharing information when it's relevant and with your consent.
Where are you based?
We're located in Oxfordshire. You'll find our full address and directions on our Contact page.
How do I book an appointment?
Through our website, by phone, or by email, whichever's easiest for you. We'll confirm your slot and send over anything you need to know beforehand.
Can I get a same-day appointment?
Often, yes. Same-day slots depend on how busy we are that day, so it's worth booking as early as you can if something's urgent.
Do you offer virtual consultations?
Yes, for appointments where a physical exam isn't needed, we can see you over video. If your clinician decides an in-person visit is a better fit, we'll let you know.
What happens if I'm running late?
Give us a call if you can. Turning up late may mean a shorter consultation, or we might need to rebook you for another slot.
Can you write me a prescription?
Where it's clinically the right call, yes. Prescriptions are private, so you'll cover the cost yourself through whichever pharmacy suits you.
How long do test results take?
It depends on the test and the lab involved, but we aim to get results back to you quickly. A clinician will always go through what they mean and what, if anything, needs to happen next.
Will you refer me to a specialist if I need one?
Yes. If your condition needs a specialist we don't have in-house, we'll refer you on, privately or through the NHS, whichever fits your situation.
How much do your services cost?
Prices are listed on our website, or we'll confirm them before your appointment's booked in. If anything extra comes up during your visit, we'll tell you the cost before it happens.
What's your cancellation policy?
Cancel or reschedule for free with at least 24 hours' notice. Less notice than that, or missing your appointment altogether, may mean a cancellation fee.
